Change your words change your world – you have what you say…

Change Your Words Change Your World

Change your words change your world! Jesus said that you will have whatever you say. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (Matthew 11:23) Unfortunately most of us say what we don’t want to have.

Frame Your World with Your Words

change your words change your world by pastor bruce edwardsYour life is framed by the words you speak – good or bad. Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. God’s Word framed the world. Why not frame your personal world by speaking God’s Word over your life.

Death & Life are in the Power of Your Words

The words you speak have power. When you speak God’s Word, His power is released into your life and circumstances. He watches over His word to perform it. (Jeremiah 1:12) God Himself makes sure His word is accomplished. (Isaiah 55:11) However, if you speak words of fear and doubt you open the door for the works of the enemy in your life. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, “death and life are in the power of the tongue” Are you speaking words that bring life or death?

What you say is important. Your words will either work for you or they will work against you. Proverbs 13:3 in the Message version says, “Careful words make for a careful life; careless talk may ruin everything.

What You Declare is Established in Your Life

You may think what you say really doesn’t matter or that it has no real consequence. However, Jesus said we will give an account for every idle word we speak. (Matthew ) Job 22:28 states, “that what you declare, decree, state, or say, that is what will be established for us.” One of the meanings of the word “establish” is CREATE. What we speak is created for us.

Stop sabotaging your life with words of defeat, lack, and unbelief. Instead begin declaring God’s word. Speak blessings over your life and your family. Throughout the day, say things like, “I have the favor of God. I am strong and healthy. I’m more than a conqueror. God is working everything together for my good. I’m well able to do what I need to do.”

Call Things That be Not as Though They Are

Some struggle to say positive and good things about themselves or their life when things are going badly.   They think they are lying or not being “real”.   When you choose to speak God’s Word you are not denying what is going on in your life or happening around you instead you are making a decision to speak God’s Word over the situation.  God’s Word is always true.  For example if you’re sick don’t say “I’m not sick” that is lying, but instead say “I am healed by the stripes of Jesus”.  When you do you are speaking God’s Word (1Peter 2:24) instead of the circumstances.

Change your words, change your world. Let God’s Word change your world. If you don’t like the way things are in your personal world and life change the words you’re speaking. You really do have what you say!  So, what do you say?  Begin declaring God’s Word every day and watch your world change.
