Your Divine Purpose is Tied to Where You Are

Divine Purpose

Time after time we see throughout the Bible where God places people in specific places at the EXACT TIME to do just what He has for them to do.    Joseph in a prison, Moses on the back side of the desert, David in the field with sheep, a poor widow woman ready to cook her last meal and die, a woman no one wanted to associate with yet anoint the feet of Jesus with expensive perfume.   Each and every one of them in a seemly obscure and less than ideal place,  but each with a DIVINE PURPOSE.

We read in Esther 4:14 this prophetic word that echos throughout history to all who will hear it “…you have come [into your] position for such a time as this.” Esther is another God places for His divine purpose. She is a young woman who through a series of unique events becomes queen.  She just happens to be Jewish and there is a nationwide plot to annihilate all the Jews.  Esther is challenged by her uncle to reveal her identity to the king and attempt to stop the genocide.  Her uncle reassures her that it might be God has placed her “FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS” in the position as queen in order to do just as he is asking her.  It turns out he was right. Esther risked her life, but because of her position as queen she was able to bring about the safety of all Jews, thereby protecting the future lineage of Jesus Christ. She had a DIVINE PURPOSE.

Here’s the deal – you may be in a place in your life that you never thought of or expected. It may be you’re in an extremely difficult situation or it might be you’re in an incredibly favorable place. Whatever and wherever it is, “who knows but that you have come to that place for such a time as this“.   With the Lord’s help you can accomplish something significant for Him. I can’t tell you exactly what that is and you may not know it until the time comes, but there is one thing for sure, there is a very significant purpose the Lord has for you.  I say that because often we have a tendency to think we are unimportant or not significant because of where we are or what we’ve gone through, but your divine purpose is tied to where you are right now regardless of how you got there.   God works everything together for good. (Romans 8:)   YOU HAVE A DIVINE PURPOSE!

There is something that God has for you to do through your exact, unique position.  If you were not right where you are, right now at this moment  you would not be able to accomplish it.  God has a DIVINE PURPOSE for you!
The situation you’re in today may never change unless you accomplish God’s will in it.   You have been placed here on earth at this very specific time for a divine purpose. Realize you are significant to the Lord and His plans.   He created you for a divine purpose.   Figure it out and do something amazing for the Lord!

The question is, are you willing to use the place and the situation you’re in for the Lord?
