Jesus is Coming Again – Christmas a Reminder from God

Jesus is Coming Again by Pastor Bruce Edwards

Christmas a Reminder from God

Christmas is a celebration of the first coming of Jesus, the Savior of the World. “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) Every year the world is reminded how God sent his Son, to redeem man from the kingdom of darkness and bring Him into the kingdom of His dear son (Colossians 1:13) ; BUT, Christmas is also God’s reminder that Jesus is coming again.

Jesus is Coming Again

The first coming of Jesus is an undeniable fact of history. His second coming is just as absolute. There are over 1800 references of Jesus coming again in the Old Testament and more than 300 in the New Testament, That’s eight times more prophecies than foretold of His first coming. God has promised Jesus is coming again, Jesus Himself promised His return (John 14:3), and so did the angels when Jesus ascended into heaven when, “they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11) Jesus is coming again.

No one knows for sure when Jesus is coming again except the Father. (Matthew 24:36) BUT, we do know the second coming of Jesus is closer today than ever. All the signs that the Bible has said would precede his return are becoming more and more evident. They remind us every day that the second coming of Jesus could be very soon. If it were today, would you be ready? (click here – for video and free book )

Called to Share the Good News

Jesus said that, “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14) Christmas also is a reminder to all of us who have put their faith in Christ that we should be sharing the good news of salvation to those God brings across our path. People need the Lord – the great Christmas gift of His first coming. Are you sharing the good news?

As you celebrate the first coming of Jesus this year let this Christmas be a reminder that

soon and very soon Jesus is coming again and that you are ready. AND let God use you as part of His plan to reach people whether it be family, friends, people across the street or around the world – be ready to share the reason for the hope that you have – the good news of Jesus. Jesus is coming again! Have a very merry Christmas!
