You have it – God has already provided everything you need…
God HAS Provided
Everything you need for life – the Lord has already provided for you. So, whatever you think you need – YOU HAVE IT. 2 Peter 1:3 tells us, “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.” Notice it says “HAS GIVEN” that is past tense.
Often we spend our time praying and asking God to provide things that He has already provided. Many believers are constantly begging God trying to convince Him to do something for them when the truth is He has already done it for them.
God HAS Blessed You
Ephesians 3:1 says, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing…” Again notice it says God “has blessed”. You have already been blessed with every blessing! So, it is really counterproductive to spend time praying and asking God to do something or waiting for Him to bless you.
If you’re in a place of needing God to meet a need instead of asking God to provide begin by thanking the Lord for “supplying all of your need according to His riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19) If you’re sick instead of asking God to heal you – start by thanking the Lord that “by His stripes, you WERE healed” (1 Pet. 2:24) If you’re needing direction for a decision instead of waiting for God to do something begin by declaring, “my steps are ordered of the Lord”. ( Psalm 37:23)
God HAS Given You Great & Precious Promises
The Word of God is filled with promises of what God has provided for us. 2 Peter 1:4 says, “…He has given us great and precious promises…” God has already given us His promises. He has promised healing – and He has already provided it. God has promised prosperity – it has already been provided. He has promised you joy and peace – He has already provide them. Whatever you need – YOU HAVE IT! We just need to possess the promises by faith.
You Need Knowledge
The thing that most believers are missing is knowledge. Too many don’t even know what God’s Word says. They are not aware of the promises of God. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed because they have no knowledge…” We need the revelation knowledge of Jesus and His Word. (Ephesians 1:17)
Begin today reading, hearing, speaking, and meditating on God’s Word. The Bible encourages us to meditate on the Word day and night (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:2) and to study the Word (2Timothy 2:15) and to speak the Word. (2 Corinthians 4:13) Hiding the Word in your heart is a key to obtaining the promises.
God Sees Ahead – Makes Provision
One of the names of God is – “Jehovah Jireh”. The meaning of that name is “God provides or God has seen ahead and made provision.” God knows the beginning from the end. He knows everything that is going to happen in your life. He has seen ahead and made provision for your every need. We just need to be where God is directing us in order to be where His provision is.
Hear and Obey God
God provided a ram in a thicket for Abraham, but if Abraham did not obey God and walk up the mountain he would have missed God’s provision. God provided for Elijah at the brook and in Zarephath– but if Elijah did not hear and obey God and doesn’t go to the brook or the widows home he misses God’s provision.
Are You Missing God’s Provision?
Are you missing what God has provided because you’re not at the place of God’s provision? Begin listening with your spirit. God is speaking to you. He speaks to you through His Word and by His Spirit. Romans 8:28 says, “His spirit bears witness with our spirit”. You will be surprised if you stop and listen. Then obey. Just do what God tells you to do. In Luke 11:28 Jesus said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” It is a huge key to receiving the provision God has for you.
You Have It
Begin today believing God has already done it. When Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father. (Ephesians 1:20) You don’t have to wait for God to do something He is waiting on you to do something. It is time to believe Him and follow Him. Know His Word, Listen to Him, and Obey Him. YOU HAVE IT!
