4 Ways to Let the Holy Spirit Lead You – no secrets with God
There are 4 ways to let the Holy Spirit lead you into the truth. Do these four things and you can know the will of God for your life.
God Is Not Keeping Secrets from You
God is not in the business of keeping secrets from you. Often, I hear people says things like, “you never know what God’s going to do”, and then quote 1Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” However, they fail to read the next verse, “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (verse 10)
God Wants You to Know
As followers of Christ, God has given us the Holy Spirit to reveal those secrets to us! God wants you to know everything on His heart concerning you, there are no surprises with God. He is not trying to keep you in the dark.
God Has Given You the Holy Spirit
Jesus told His disciples in John 16:13, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth…” in other words, you have been given the Holy Spirit so you can know the deeper truths, mysteries and revelations of God, and the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit reveals to us hidden mysteries and secrets that natural men can’t comprehend; things that God has freely given to us.
Don’t Live in the Dark
Unfortunately, many Christians go through life living in the dark. They live in fear and confusion, doubting God and wondering what to do and why certain things are happening. They fail to enjoy all that God has already prepared for them simply because they don’t listen to the Holy Spirit, (they live as a natural man even though they are born again and spiritual). They live a life of barely enough, struggling just to survive when God sent Jesus so we can have life and life more abundantly! (John 10:10)
Holy Spirit Reveals All Things Pertaining to You
No one who has the Holy Spirit should ever walk in darkness or uncertainty. You have the light of life living in you. Through His light, you have the ability to understand all that God has for you and the ability to walk in the light of your inheritance in Christ. He reveals all that is yours in Christ, righteousness, divine health, prosperity, forgiveness, fellowship with the Father etc. AND He will guide you and lead you in every decision and show you things to come! The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth.
God is All-Knowing
God is all-knowing nothing can be hidden from Him. He knows the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:10) He will show you things to come and everything you need to know through the Holy Spirit. Take time to listen to Him and you’ll never have to settle for a life of uncertainty again. He will lead you into all truth!
4 Ways to Let the Holy Spirit Lead You into All Truth
Know Jesus Better
The more and better you know Jesus the more you will recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit. There are many voices in the world, but when you really know Jesus, you will hear His voice louder than any other voice in your life. Get to know Jesus better.
Know the Word of God Better
The truth is found in God’s Word. If you don’t know the Word, you can’t know the truth. If you don’t know the truth it becomes very difficult to hear and discern the leading of the Holy Spirit. Spend time studying the Word of God.
Keep God First
When we allow other things to take priority in our life, they become distractions from the truth. It’s not that we can’t or should have other things that are important in our life (family, job, ministry, etc.), they just are not to take priority over God. Jesus said, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 16:33). The only way to know His still, small voice is to keep God first place in your life.
Lean not unto Your Own Understanding
Our own understanding is often led by emotion or limited facts. It is influenced by the opinions of others that sound right in the moment. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us very clearly for the Lord to direct our steps we are NOT to lean on our own understanding.
God isn’t in the business of keeping secrets from you. He’s in the business of revealing them to you through the Holy Spirit. You can know exactly what God’s will and direction for your life is. Take time to listen to Him and you’ll never have to settle for a life of uncertainty again. He will lead you into all truth!
