Humility Brings Wisdom

As a leader you need Godly wisdom for every decision you make.   The more wise decisions you make the less mistakes you make.  The less mistakes you make the more you accomplish. Proverbs 11:2 gives one of the keys to gaining Godly wisdom:

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

Humility is the key that opens the portals of Heaven for wisdom, while pride shuts the doors and cuts off the flow of God’s wisdom.  James 4:6 tells us, “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Pride creates a barrier to understanding and wisdom. God cannot teach someone who is under the impression they already know everything. However, humility means we realize we need God’s help and He is the source of all ability and knowledge.  When we rely only on ourselves, we are limited, but when we connect to the source of it all, we are tapping into unlimited resources, unlimited potential, unlimited power. Now we can do anything God has led us to do and do it right.

True humility is not negative but positive. The best way to understand humility is to see ourselves through God’s eyes rather than our own. Pride says, “I did it all by myself”.  False humility says, “God did it and I did not have to do anything” True humility says, “I was able to do it by the grace of God.” When we realize and understand apart from Christ we can do nothing (John 15:5) but with Christ we can do all things (Philipians 4:13) we tap into the power of humility, and with it comes wisdom.

As a leader you can make wise decision when you keep a spirit of humility.
