Roadblocks to Purpose for Your Life – 3 Keys to overcoming
Roadblocks to Purpose
Living a life of purpose is always filled with hurdles, if you don’t learn how to overcome them they will become roadblocks to purpose in your life. Roadblocks to purpose are obstacles that stand in your way of doing what God has for you to do and reaching the place where God wants you to be. If your life is on a path that has no obstacles it probably isn’t going anywhere. If you’re going to achieve and reach your purpose you will need to learn how to overcome the obstacles along lives highway.
I like Maya Angelou’s famous quote on love… “Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” If we will embrace our purpose with that kind of passion we will be able to jump, leap, penetrate and negotiate each and every roadblock that tries to stop us.
What Roadblocks are Stopping You
What roadblocks to purpose are you facing? Fear of failing, fear to change, distractions, lack of faith, lack of finances, past failures, perceived weaknesses, other people, or some other obstacle… Which of these obstacles are you willing to jump, leap and/or penetrate? The answer to this question will lead you to clarity of purpose. It will help catapult you over and through to your purpose in life.
3 Keys to Overcoming Roadblocks
Don’t be discouraged by the hurdles you face. Rejoice! With the Lord’s help you can overcome each and every one and as you do you will step into your divine purpose. Here are three keys to overcome “ROADBLOCKS to YOUR PURPOSE”;
1) Trust the Lord
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:22-23.) Trust is faith. Have faith in God and you will speak to every hurdle to be removed and it will be cast into the sea. Great faith overcomes great hurdles.
2) Know the truth of God’s Word
The answer to every question and every problem is found in the truth of God’s Word. We can figure some things out and others can help us, there is wisdom in a multitude of council , but Colossians 2:3 tells us it is, “in Him (Jesus – the Word) whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” When we know the truth the truth will make us free. (John 8:32)
3) Apply the truth to your life and situation
It is not enough to just know what God’s Word says, we must do what His Word says. Faith without action is dead. (James 2:17) Jesus said the one who builds his house on the rock is the one who not only hears His Word, but does it. ( Matthew 7:24-29)
There are “roadblocks to purpose” that you must overcome. Keep the faith – trust the Lord, discover the truth, and then apply it to your life. When you do, you will be well on your way to a life of great purpose.
“`Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6).
