Silver Bells Soon Christmas Day will be Here
DAY FIVE – SILVER BELLS – SOON IT WILL BE CHRISTMAS
As Mary and Joseph complete day, 5 of their journey things have become even more interesting. When they began their journey, they probably thought they had time to make the trip, register for the census, and then return home to Nazareth before the baby would be born. However, the journey proved to be more lengthy and difficult than either of them had expected, and now realized they would not be able to make the return trip before the baby would be born. They knew Mary would soon give birth to a very special baby, but the questions and doubts they had in the beginning again begin to haunt their minds as they lay under the stars of a dark and cold night. How could this be? Who were they to be used by God?
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD
The Christmas story is full of God doing the impossible. After all, the birth of Jesus was not just some unusual event, it was an impossibility. Mary was a virgin. To have a baby would require a miracle, God would have to breathe life into her womb, as Mary and Joseph once again pondered these questions, they remembered how the angel had spoken to them. “Nothing is impossible with God” and they believed. They decided they would trust God.
JUST BELIEVE
You may be facing what seems impossible. You may be wrestling with questions and doubts, but just as God did the impossible causing Mary to conceive the perfect sinless Savior–fully God, fully human– He can accomplish through you, those things that seem impossible in your life – JUST BELIEVE! Christmas – Miracles
Silver bells – there’s a feeling of Christmas in the air. Children laughing, people passing – ring-a-ling – meeting smile after smile hear them ring very soon it will be Christmas day. This Christmas take time to remember the miracle of Jesus. Christmas is a time to be reminded of how nothing is impossible with God! As believers we don’t celebrate Jesus just on Christmas we celebrate Jesus and worship Him every day.
Luke 1:34-37 (NKJV)
“34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
