Overcome Problems – 4 simple keys to help you overcome the problems of life
How to Overcome Problems
How do you overcome problems? Life is filled with obstacles and challenges. No one is exempt, we all face problems in life. Jesus told us, “In this world you will have trials and tribulation; “ (John 16:33) However, He also said to take heart because He had overcome them, meaning we also can overcome them through Christ. The good news is you can overcome problems in your life no matter what they are.
4 Keys to Overcoming Problems
It’s not the problem that will define you but how you respond. I want to help teach you how to respond to the challenges in your life, so you can overcome problems that try to defeat you.
Here are just 4 simple, yet effect keys to help you overcome problems. These are the keys to victory in the midst of the storm.
1. God is not your problem
First, it is important to realize God is good and He is not the source of your problems. Too, often when we encounter a problem in life we blame God. We say things like, Why me God? Why did you (God) let this happen? Or we some how think the trials and difficulties in our life are put their by God as His way of training us or punishing us. Not so.
The problems in life are caused by the devil or by people, not God. You have to be fully convinced of this truth and not waver. Jesus made it very clear in John 10:10 who was the source of evil and who was the source of good, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” The thief is the devil and he is the one looking for ways to steal and destroy your life. God is not the problem! If you doubt this at all, you will not be able to trust God to help you.
2. There is hope
Second know that there is hope. It can be difficult to remain hopeful in the middle of trials and tribulation, but don’t lose hope. You have the promise of victory in every situation. (2Corinthians 2:14) You can be of good cheer because with God you will overcome every tribulation and you can take comfort in knowing God will deliver you from every affliction. If you are facing what looks like an impossible situation be encouraged and know things can turn around. There is HOPE! There is great hope for you and the promise of overcoming every problem in life and experiencing victory.
3. Run to God
Third, run to God for help. When things get hard don’t run from God – run to Him. He is the source of your hope and your strength. God is your deliverer, your provider, and your helper. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalms 46:1) God is with you and He is ready to help you. He never leaves you nor forsakes you. God is always their for you – you just need to draw near to Him and ask for His help. God will give you the direction and strategies you need to overcome the problems you are facing. Run to God for help!
4. Don’t give up
Forth, don’t give up. “God will bless you, if you don’t give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards everyone who loves him. (James 1:12 CEV) Sometimes even after running to God and asking for His help, situations and circumstances can grow worse. Don’t quit – hold fast – keep believing. Too often people quit just before the breakthrough is about to happen. Psalm 34: 9 says, “A righteous man may have many troubles; but the Lord delivers Him from them all.” God is faithful and He will deliver you from whatever you’re facing, just keep standing – don’t give up.
To overcome problems in life don’t blame God, don’t lose hope, instead run to God for the help you need, and stay the course – don’t give up. “In all these things you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you.” (Romans 8:37) Jesus is at the core of your victory. Stay focused on Him. He is the author and finisher of your faith. You WILL overcome any and every problem you encounter in Jesus.
