When trouble comes what do you do –
When trouble comes what do you do? First, we should not be surprised when trouble comes in this world or for that matter when trouble comes into our lives. Jesus warned us and told us we would have trouble in this world, but He said we would overcome. (John 16:33) You don’t have be afraid or anxious when trouble comes.
It’s Time to Trust God
When trouble comes and it will come what you need to do – is to trust God. We should always be trusting God, but when trouble comes trusting God becomes that much more important. Isaiah 12:2 says, “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” It is time to put and keep your trust in the Lord!
Live by Faith
Trusting God is really the definition of faith. We are to live our lives by faith and not by sight. (2Corinthians 5:7) Faith is the power that brings us victory in the midst of trouble. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1John 5:4) Don’t let trouble or fear and anxiety rob you of your faith.
Great is He Who is in You
In the midst of the most trying times you can be assured the Holy Spirit is with you to help you. The greater one lives in you. He is greater than any problem, trouble, evil spirit, or attack of the enemy. That’s what 1John 4:4-6 tells us, “My children, you have come from God and have conquered these spirits because the One who lives within you is greater than the one in this world. 5 But they are of this world, and they articulate the views of the corrupt world, which the world understands. 6 We come from God, and those who know God hear us. Whoever is not from God will not listen to us. This is the way we discern the difference between the spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.”
What Does it Mean to Trust God?
When it comes to trusting God, that simply means believing in His reliability, His Word, His ability, His willingness, and His strength. Trusting in Him means believing what He says about Himself, about the world and about you is true. He says you are more than a conqueror. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will be with you always. He is faithful. He almighty God. Nothing is to hard for Him.
Trusting God is more than a feeling; it’s a choice to have faith in what He says even when your feelings or circumstances would have you believe something different. Trusting God doesn’t mean we ignore or deny the circumstance, but it means believing God can and will help you get through the trouble victoriously.
How to Trust God
First, cast your cares on the Lord. (1Peter 5:7)
Second, stop worrying and pray to God. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Third, give thanks and rejoice. (1Thes. 5:16-18)
Fourth, don’t give up or quit. (Isaiah 40:31) (Galatians 6:9)
God may seem silent, but He is always at work behind the scenes. Continue to wait on the Lord. The word wait means to minister to or serve. Faithfully continue to seek the Lord and in due season you will reap if you don’t quit.

We Have a Mission
Until Jesus comes there is a war raging between two kings, Jesus and Satan. In the midst of the that war people encounter trials and tribulation. We have the sure promise of God’s ultimate victory and His help here and now. In the meantime we are on assignment in this foreign land called the world to preach the good news of the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit in hopes of rescuing as many lost souls we can out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light and free them from their bondage to Satan, sin, and death. Don’t let all the things going on in the world distract you from God’s plan for your life and for all peoples.
